Ok, this bake sale has to be BIG. We need to make as much as we can for this one, it'll make up our matching funds. The more money we make, the more leeway we'll have for buying nice things for Chibi-con. We're in Dickson all day guys, ganbatte ne!

hey i can also watch the table after my class gets out at 1. also would it be possible for us to make like waffles or pancakes or something? like just right there? so we have more breakfast like foods in the morning.

I'm thinking this time we sell a real cake, brownies, two kinds of cookies, and drinks (cold bottled water and fresh brewed ice tea? depends what temperature it is on the day of the sale.

The sale is next week, so lets start advertising by...monday. our best bet is to put up fliers in the dinning halls where the food is gross and around the dorms where people are craving home made bake goods


If someone wants to make up fliers? They should advertizing what we'll be selling, prices. date and location can be smaller, since the goods in big lettering will draw in more people.


what ingredients are left over form the last bake sale?

we should still have some mix left.

bakenight is tuesday at kevs

i still have a good amount of cupcakes, in my fridge, in plastic bags from that day. they were sealed in, no air, and never taken out of the fridge. should i explore this possibility?

water is always great. id say, suz should make a flier. i can ask dan p to make us a facebook event, just to get the word out.

im trying to think of a food that is best so spring, not like ice cream or anything, just something portable, not cavity inducing.... perhaps these sammichs from my bro will be just the thing.

got the flyer done, I emailed it to our email, I'll see if we have some cake mix or something at my mom's.

Quel, are the cupcakes frosted or unfrosted? Unfrosted they should be.....fine. but smell them. taste test one. If nothing else we can mince them up and make them into a crust decoration

ok as lovely as this discussion is, are there are definite specifics on what we are going to be selling at the sale?

so i may add that to the list above for those who are thinking that they may want to bake
and if they wanted to check what we are already going to have so they dont make the same thing :)

Based on what I've been hearing/suggest we'll have total:

1 apple crisp (Quel!! look and see if the cupcakes have ANY mold on them. if they do, toss the modly ones and be very picky about screening the others)

need: 4-5 apples (from blanton haha)
cinnamon
sugar
old cupcakes
baking tin

to serve on: plates/napkins!

Pancakes/Waffles ( Waffles could be less messy if we make them crispy )

need: pancake mix (got it)
syrups
powdered sugar (got it)

24 cupcakes

need: cake mix (got it?)
icing (got it?)


Sandy's brownies

Hot tea/chilled water

need: freeze water 2 nights before/ice chest

why freeze water?

i can supply for the pancake ness, but i dont think we have access to a waffle maker... do we?

jess, you are a life saver.... i will bring our non moldly cupcakes!

*full disclosure: I tasted one of the strawberry ones, still delicious albeit a bit dry due to moisture loss... everything has remained for the most part mold free. brownies are still awesome... >_>*

in fact, we have everything but syrup (but the brother does have jams! ^_^ perhaps we should raid an ihop?)

appliance wise, we'd need a waffle maker...

1. freeze half the water so we can use that instead of ice to keep the rest of the water cold.

2. yay! no mold. I'm planning on mincing them up and using them as the crisp in the apple crisp. that way they get baked again juuuust in case there's something gross living in them

3. oh good brownies!

4. we can get syrup from blanton when we get the apples (unless we wanna buy some real syurp that doesn't have high fructose corn syrup

ohh i can help! I was testing out how to make these dessert cups for the maid cafe, and they came out successfully! Is it okai for me to bring them to this bake sale..? I've made three flavors so far and i was gonna make another tonight!
